If you forget your password on your Palm, there is a way to reset it.
On the Security menu (go to All programs, choose Security). It comes up with Password (assigned) and Current Privacy. You can choose to unassign the password and also to Unmask records.
If you say you lost password, it says: “deleting a lost password will remove all records marked Private. Previously synchronized private records will be restored at the next Hot Sync operation. Do you wish to proceed?” Say Yes.
It will take those records off the Palm, but when you give it a new password and resync, they SHOULD be back. The reason for this is that if your Palm is lost and someone else says to get rid of the password, the password-protected files won’t be able to be seen. Since you have them on your PC at home, when you set up a new password and sync, you will be able to see that information.
